What is PostModel ?

PostModel extends PostgreSQL with a model datatype. A model is any expression that can be evaluated by some interpreter, so for example functions defined by an SQL expression have been implemented as models.

PostModel also provides primitives for interfacing PostgreSQL with packages such as the popular R platform for statistical analysis and data mining.

PostModel runs on any version of PostgreSQL for which your models (functional expressions) are properly implemented.

Some available packages can be used with PostModel:
See the Download and Install page for more installation instructions.
